Weekend Warriors!

After a few months of not doing many DIY projects around the house we are back to tackling some outdoor projects that have been annoying me for the past 6 months! Why has it taken me 6 months to get sh*t done!??? Here's some "in progress" shots for ya!
My dream gate is below. I drew where I wanted it with sidewalk chalk and my brother just put this bad boy up yesterday! It looks SO good! BUT I don't want to show you it up until we paint it this weekend.

The herringbone brick path is getting extended and is tedious but kinda fun. We plan on doing some little brick walls along the sides where the plants will be....

Aaahhhhh..... the never ending work of this old fixer upper!! Can't wait to share some finished pics!

Newest chairs for the house! WHY oh WHY do I keep buying chairs!?

OK, so I was out shopping for a client yesterday and couldn't help but notice two Klismos meets Colonial meets Moorish style chairs! -Yes, are you impressed with my chair knowledge!? That was a wise $50,000 spent on design school eh!? ;)

Anyhoot, I do have a chair buying problem but I loved the lines of these chairs and have been looking for something like this for a while now. And at $50 for TWO how could I resist!? The seats need to be redone and recovered but that's an easy fix.

They are old, not sure how old but OLD. The wood grain is really pretty too. I'm debating on sanding them down and re staining but not sure. You have to see my vision in case you think they look too old lady - imagine them with the classic Scalamandre silk/velvet cheetah print!? ehhhh?! You feel me!?

This fabric on the left:
Or the tiger on the right!? I'm torn and have loved both these fabrics for years and can only use one or the other and only in one small shot for the house. Animal print in my book is a classic but can only be used in small doses. Not to mention the fabric is a FORTUNE.

This picture is of some pillows we have at the shop and they look brighter here than in person. I luvs them so and originally planned on buying just a pillow but I love the thought of it on a chair seat too. I caress them daily ;)

Oh and here's one of the chairs next to my super modern panton chairs:

Eeeeh blurry pic but imagine the animal print!!! Sasssssy! What do you think? Have a preference!? Team Tiger or Cheetah!?
