My cowhide just came in and I LOVE it!! Yay for Overstock! It's super soft - it almost feels like silk. I am very pleased with my purchase!
Here's a quick before shot of the living room with my mom's zebra hide:
And here's a shot of it today with the neutral hide:
Please excuse to super lumpy sofa - that's a whole other issue! But I do love how light and airy the room feels with all the white and camel colors throughout.
I could go for a larger sisal - like an 8 x 10 but this one I already own so it will do for now!

Looking great girl. The arms on that sofa are great. Leonel's could build you a bench seat and back cushions when you are ready to re-do it for much less than buying a new sofa...

E- I was actually going to ask you about that! but I would have to reupholster the whole sofa right? the frame is great - got it from ABC Carpet - but those damn down cushions suck!! And what you described is EXACTLY what I want to do. Im just dreading the cost of reupholstering & fabric...
well the good thing about reup is you can split up charges instead of paying for new piece all at once. Buy fabric now and in six or eight months do the labor. There are outdoor fabs or velvets that are around $20/yard...you prob need 12-15 yards - less if you pick a solid and railroad it down the bench seat and do topstitching instead of welt. You could do the body in one fabric and the cushions in a different one... lots of options!

just looked at pics again - the velvet on body and arms seems to be in good condition. You can pick a cool fabric that complements it and just do the new bench seat and back cushions in foam....E
Thanks for sharingg this
