Staircase...

We have these hideous unfinished stairs that aren't even to code that we either need to completely cover and leave as is or re-do the staircase completely. (we have a construction loan and in order to switch it to conventional certain things need to be finished in order for it to appraise) So, needless to say, I am trying to push for getting a completely new staircase! We have to wait for the main renovations to be done first though to see if we have extra money left to do the stairs. Here's what the stairs look like now:

 Lucky for me my brother does custom staircases for a living so once we come up with the design he can pretty much make whatever we want. Although I am pretty sure the one above is out of the budget!! - Plus I don't really think it's that safe but man is it gorgeous!
